Twitch Streamer Accountant

Streaming income is a stream of small amounts: subs, Bits, tips and the odd big donation, most of it paid out of the US. Individually tiny, together very much taxable, and easy to under-record. We work with Twitch streamers, so this is familiar ground.

Fixed fee, agreed before we begin, with nothing charged until you approve it.

What We Handle

Your return and bookkeeping across subscriptions, Bits and cheering, ad revenue, tips and donations, and any sponsorship or network deals. Donations are still income where they come in return for your streaming, so we bring them in rather than leaving them off.

Twitch pays from the US, so we handle the W-8BEN and any US withholding, convert dollar payouts to sterling at HMRC rates, and claim the setup and running costs a stream runs up, from the PC and capture gear to the part of your broadband the stream uses.

Where Streaming Tax Gets Awkward

Volume is the problem. Hundreds of small subs, Bits and tips across a year are easy to lose track of, and reconstructing them in January is miserable. The US-paid side adds the same W-8BEN and double-taxation traps a YouTuber meets.

We reconcile the payout reports Twitch and any tipping platforms give you, net of fees and US tax, into one complete figure, so nothing quietly falls off the return and you are not taxed twice on the US-paid part.

How It Runs

Send us your Twitch payout and any tipping-platform reports plus the records we ask for, in one go. We do the work, show you the numbers, and file once you are happy. Identity checks first, as at any UK firm. Take just the return, or the year-round bookkeeping too.

Because streaming income is steady and monthly, the year-round option suits it well and keeps Making Tax Digital from being a scramble when it reaches you.

What It Costs

A fixed fee agreed before work starts, sized to your channel. A single-platform return is at the lower end; add multiple tipping platforms, sponsorships and a company and it costs more, and we tell you which first.

To get a price, tell us what you earn from and on which platforms, and we will come back with a fixed quote and a deadline.

Common questions

Do donations and tips count as income?

Where they come in because you stream, yes. Tips, donations, subs and Bits are all taxable trading income, and we bring them in alongside ad and sponsor revenue so the return is complete.

Twitch pays me from the US. What about tax?

We make sure your W-8BEN claims the UK treaty rate, convert dollar payouts to sterling at HMRC rates, and claim foreign tax credit relief for any US tax withheld so the same income is not taxed twice.

I have hundreds of small payments. Is that a problem?

No, it is the norm for streamers. We reconcile the platform payout reports into one figure rather than chasing every micro-payment, so the return is complete without the January reconstruction.

What does it cost?

A fixed fee agreed up front, scaled to how many platforms and income types are involved. Tell us what you earn from and we will price it with a deadline.
